Sunday, December 9th at 10:45 AM
Calling all past, present and future members of First Southern Baptist Church,
Come and celebrate FSBC's 70th birthday with us on December 9th at 10:45 AM! This is such a momentous day for our church that we must celebrate!
Seventy has a sacred meaning in the Bible. It is made up of the factors of two perfect numbers, seven (representing perfection) and ten (representing completeness and God's Law). Because of this, it symbolizes perfect spiritual order carried out with all power. Wow! That is awesome and worth noting.
Psalm 100 commands us to enter His Presence with singing, His gates with thanksgiving; His courts with praise and bless His name! We would like to do just that on this great day in the life of our church. A special service has been designed to help us give special honor and attention to our Lord as a part of our worship. Please make it a priority to come join us for this great day! Below are a few things you can expect to be a part of our day:
- Worship — Corporate praise and singing, lifting our voices to the One True God who has shown us favor
- Testimonies — Cards are available to write a story of how God has used FSBC in your life and family
- Time Capsule — Select items will be gathered, prayed over and then protected until FSBC's Centennial
- Dedication and Ribbon Cutting — Property will be dedicated to the Lord for special and future ministry
- Message — Dr. David Johnson will be our guest preacher giving us a special message from the Lord
- Prayer Card Presentation — Special prayers are offered, launching new ministry
- Tithes — Presenting to God what He has already set apart as holy for His work through this body
- Special Offering — Sacrificial financial gift to the Lord for undergirding and launching new ministry
- History Walk — FSBC's history will be laid out in the back of the church for all to peruse
- Potluck Fellowship — Enjoying one another's company at a party with a prepared meal
Our Lord has done much over the past 70 years in and through FSBC of Springerville, but the best is still yet to come! Habakkuk 1:5 reminds us to "look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told." My hope and prayer is you would be fully committed to what God is orchestrating for the days ahead. If not, prayerfully consider making personal adjustments to join the Father at work on this mountain with us!
Humbled to be your pastor,
Acey Martin
